The most important global event in the furniture sector, the Salone del Mobile, returns in 2021. From 5 to 10 September, the Supersalone, a special edition of the Salone del Mobile curated by Stefano Boeri, transformed Milan into the capital of design. A fair that this year has an extra meaning, that of restarting. A restart that symbolically happens right here, from the house. “The home has returned to the center of our attention after these months of forced closure, so the role of design and furnishings in redesigning the quality of living in both private and shared places has become even more fundamental.” (Maria Porro)

This 60th edition of the Salone del Mobile is therefore characterized by novelty, recovery and reopening. The Supersalone confirms itself as a great opportunity for meeting and exchange between the top experts in the sector: companies, designers, architects and planners who have been able to present the numerous innovations of the last 18 months.

This year's show was more compact, only 4 pavilions, but as many as 425 Italian and international brands were able to participate. The classic company stands were not mounted, but a single exhibition was created that unfolded along a path of walls, where the products were displayed as true works of art.

Among the novelties of the Salone del Mobile 2021, Cattelan italia has decided to give importance to a vast selection of furnishings in the living area: not only tables and chairs, but also sideboards, mirrors and bookshops. One of the most loved tables in the last year and place of honor on the Supersalone 2021 catwalk is the Butterfly table by Cattelan italia, with a glass top and an iconic and imposing base in Brushed Bronze. To accompany such an important table, the italia chair was chosen, a soft leather chair with an essential and elegant design. Bontempi Home Supersalone 2021

The great design library opens in the Bontempi Casa stand with the brand new Living Collection 2021. A collection characterized by timeless elegance, the highest quality materials and unmistakable design by Bontempi Casa.

The imposing Bridge table with marble-effect ceramic top dominates the scene, accompanied by the comfortable and enveloping Drop chair. Linear and soft shapes that are also taken up in the Circle floor lamp, of timeless elegance, with a concrete base and painted steel structure. A stage certainly worthy of presenting the entire new collection dedicated to the living area of ​​Bontempi Casa.

Connubia Supersalone 2021

For Connubia, the young brand from the Calligaris group, composing a 6-metre installation with its favorite designs was a challenge taken up in style. For the setup of the Salone del Mobile 2021, Connubia has decided to hang its latest news from the Indoor Collection and the Collection as real works of art Outdoor 2021.

Among the novelties of outdoor furniture, the Yo collection stands out, consisting of the Yo woven rope chair and armchair and the Yo round outdoor table. A collection with a strong personality, bright colors and a strong green approach. And why not present the new Baik bike rack by literally hanging a bike on the wall of the stand?
