Furnish in industrial style

Raw materials, sharp contrasts, recycled objects: industrial style is all this and much more.

The industrial style was born in the last century by ingenious architects and designers who, by renovating abandoned factories, thought of giving life to a new style which, starting from the interior environments and furnishings, would enhance the initial building and its original use. By recovering the tools and materials of industrial production and customizing them in a modern, chic or vintage way based on one's taste and living needs, industrial furniture has transformed into a real trend. Industrial furniture, especially in dimly lit environments with very dark walls, can appear excessively "cold", gloomy and therefore unwelcoming. For this reason we suggest alternating concrete or brick-effect walls with white or softly colored walls. Plus "sweeten" everything with soft seats and ornamental or aromatic plants.

The industrial style furniture is a perfect combination of modern and retro

Solid and resistant furniture that stands out for simple lines with a modern and metropolitan character. Some furnishing elements such as old tables, cupboards or kitchen stools are inspired by the reality of factories at the beginning of the last century. An old typewriter, vintage lamps, travel trunks and other elements with a retro flavor must not prevail over those in a modern style because the basic rule is minimal design. This style is related to metallic materials such as iron, aluminum or steel. A cold material like metal must be balanced with wooden elements such as the dining table, shelves and coffee tables. Also important for decorating the home in an industrial style are carpets and fabrics which must be made strictly with natural fibers such as linen or jute.

The material par excellence is vintage-effect leather or imitation leather, used to cover sofas and armchairs in burgundy, rust or dark brown colours. As for lighting, we recommend metal pendant chandeliers arranged possibly in a row above the dining table or above the peninsula in the kitchen. Painted aluminum is preferable as a material but also chromed steel. To obtain the grunge effect, you can choose vintage style chandeliers with obvious signs of aging or a rust effect.
